Increased HDL and Lowered Triglycerides
In order to reduce the risk of high cholesterol, you want a good ratio of higher HDL to lower triglycerides. Studies have shown that this is a much better predictor than measuring your HDL vs LDL.
When we reduce carbohydrates and get into a state of ketosis, this reduces glucose levels, the insulin levels will drop and then the HDL and triglyceride levels improve.
