Coconut Banana Keto Smoothie

When following the keto diet, I make a lot of smoothies using Keto Meal Replacement. It tastes delicious, is convenient, and helps curb my cravings for carbs. I usually blend it with ice to get that smoothie texture, but sometimes, it doesn't do the trick.

Then I learned about resistant starches, which includes green bananas. Resistant starches are "resistant" to digestion, meaning they can pass through your digestive track unchanged. They are great sources of fiber, beneficial to the bacteria in your intestines, and can improve insulin sensitivity.

Give it a try the next time you make a smoothie for a nice creamy consistency!



1 can coconut cream (you can buy the 5.4 fl oz can, and use the whole can, or scoop the cream from the top of the larger, 13.66 oz can)

1 serving Vanilla Keto Meal

1 cup unsweetened coconut milk, or milk of your choice (almond milk, cashew milk, etc.) 

1/2 frozen green banana (halved before frozen)

1 tsp vanilla extract

flaked coconut (optional)



1. Add the banana and coconut milk to the blender, and let sit for about 10 minutes. This will allow the banana to soften, as frozen green bananas are very hard.

2. Add in the coconut cream, Keto Meal, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth. 

3. Garnish with flaked coconut.

Net Carbs: 15 grams

Fat: 44 grams

Protein: 10 grams
