Baked Brie

What is not to love about a warm and creamy wheel of baked brie topped with caramelized onion, garlic and chopped herbs, walnuts and pecans? We are loving this delicious appetizer served with keto-friendly crackers, so be sure to make this recipe and get ready to be blown away at its flavor!

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

1 4-ounce wheel of brie cheese
1 tablespoons butter
1 medium yellow onion, peeled & sliced
1 teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup chopped walnuts
¼ cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
A few sprigs of fresh rosemary

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Add butter to a skillet and bring to low heat.

Add sliced onion and sauté with ½ teaspoon of sea salt until very soft and browned, about 15 minutes.

While the onions are sautéing, place brie wheel on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Mix walnuts, pecans, remaining ½ teaspoon of sea salt, black pepper and a teaspoon of minced fresh rosemary in a bowl.

Arrange onions on top of the brie followed by the nut mixture. Drizzle olive oil on top of everything.

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, or until warm and creamy.

Remove from the oven and serve between 4 with keto-friendly crackers, garnishing with sprigs of fresh rosemary, storing any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
