Serves 4
Chances are you have a bag of ground flaxseed in your fridge that can be mixed with spices in your pantry to make some delicious, crunchy crackers to be enjoyed with a keto-friendly dip or crumbled up on top of salads. Flaxseeds are best absorbed ground, so if you only have access to whole seeds, just grind a cup up in a high-speed food processor or a coffee grinder.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 cup ground flaxseed
2 teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
½ cup water
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Whisk ground flaxseed with all of the spices. Whisk in the water until a thick paste has formed.
Spread the flaxseed paste on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place another sheet of parchment paper over the paste and flatten with a rolling pin or a glass jar.
Using a knife, slice the paste in small squares.
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, or until dry and crispy.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before breaking into individual crackers.
Remove from heat and serve between 4 with your favorite keto-friendly dip, storing any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
Enjoy!
