What better than a cookie made with browned butter? How about a cookie made with browned butter that will not cause your blood sugar to spike and crash?! We love these decadent cookies made with our Chocolate Prime Shift D-BHB Ketone Powder Stick powder.
Prep Time: 10 minutes + 30 minutes to chill dough
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
1 cup of unsalted butter
2 cups almond flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
1 cup Keto brown sugar
2 tablespoons Keto granulated sugar such as stevia
1 packet of Real Ketones Chocolate Prime Shift D-BHB Ketone Powder Stick powder
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup Keto dark chocolate chips (reserve ¼ cup to top cookies)
1 cup chopped pecans (reserve ¼ cup to top cookies)
Sea salt, for garnishing
Add the butter to a saucepan set to low heat, stirring often. Let it become brown in color and nutty in fragrance. Remove from the heat and pour into a large mixing bowl, making sure to get the browned bits on the bottom of the pan. Let it cool.
In a separate bowl, mix the almond flour, baking soda and sea salt.
When the butter has cooled, add to it the Keto brown sugar, Keto granulated sugar, Real Ketones Prime Shift D-BHB Ketone Powder Stick powder, eggs and pure vanilla extract. Mix very well.
Combine the dry and wet ingredients, then fold in the chocolate chips and pecans (just ¾ cup of each).
Scoop large spoonfuls of cookie batter onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Flatten each cookie a bit, then press in more chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
Place the tray in the fridge, covered, to chill for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350 F (176 C).
Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and the chocolate chips have melted.
Remove from the oven and garnish with sea salt. Let cool for a few minutes.
Serve between 16, storing any leftovers in an airtight container on the countertop for up to 3 days.
