1 cup steamed French green beans
4 slices of bacon
2 tablespoons bacon grease
1 teaspoon coconut aminos
½ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 medium garlic clove, peeled & minced
1 tablespoon sliced & toasted almonds
Steam green beans until tender, about 7 minutes.
While green beans are steaming, fry bacon in a skillet on medium-low heat until crispy, about 3 minutes per side.
Reserve 2 tablespoons of the bacon grease and place cooked bacon on a separate plate.
Add minced garlic to the skillet and fry in the grease until golden, about 1 minute.
Add steamed green beans to the skillet and season with sea salt, pepper and coconut aminos. Toss well so that the green beans are coated in bacon grease and seasonings.
Garnish with crumbled bacon and sliced, toasted almonds.
Serve between 4, storing any leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
