Keto Lemon Cream-Filled Donut Bites

The donut bites are the perfect little treat to add some healthy sweetness to your day! We filled them with lemon cream made with our Lean for Life powder to ensure it will meet your keto goals while satisfying your cravings!

Ingredients:
Lemon Cream:
¼ cup plain cream cheese
1 packet of Real Ketones Lemon Twist Lean for Life powder
Donut Bites:
½ cup coconut flour
½ cup Keto sweetener such as Swerve
¼ cup unflavored whey protein powder
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon sea salt
4 large eggs
¼ cup butter, melted
¼ cup water
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Keto confectioners’ sugar for dusting donuts

Instructions:

Prepare the lemon cream by mixing the plain cream cheese, Real Ketones Lemon Twist Lean for Life powder together until well-combined. Set aside.

Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C).

Grease a 16 slot mini-muffin tin or line it with silicone or parchment muffin liners and set aside.

Combine the donut bite wet ingredients in one bowl and the dry ingredients in another. Make sure that both bowls are thoroughly mixed, then combine them in one bowl until very well-combined.

Pour into the muffin liners and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden in color. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Remove them from the tin or liners and use your hands to mold into more distinct balls (you can skip this step if you don’t mind them not looking like donut holes, they will look like muffins if you skip this step).

Poke a hole in the center of each donut the diameter of a straw. Pipe cream into each donut. Alternatively, you can cut the donuts in half and scoop a small hole in each halves' center, filling it with cream, then secure the donut bite back together.

Dust with keto confectioners’ sugar before serving between 16, storing any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
