6 string cheeses, unwrapped
1 large egg
½ cup almond flour
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
¾ cup marinara sauce
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
Cut each string cheese in half and set aside.
Crack egg and whisk in a shallow bowl.
Whisk together almond flour, sea salt, garlic powder and dried Italian seasoning in another shallow bowl and set aside.
Roll each strong cheese in egg, then in the almond flour mixture until fully coated.
Heat butter in a large skillet on medium heat.
When the skillet is hot, carefully place each coated string cheese in the skillet and allow to brown on all sides, about 1 minute per side.
Serve hot between 6 with 2 tablespoons each of marinara sauce and some chopped parsley, storing any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
