Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
1 large egg
1 cup shredded cheese (any variety, we used asiago)
1 ½ cups almond flour
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix egg and shredded cheese in one bowl and remaining ingredients in another. Gently fold together until a dough has formed.
Divide in 2 balls and place each ball on a large piece of parchment paper. Place another piece of parchment paper on top of each ball and with a rolling pin or a smooth jar, roll each ball into a flat circle. Remove the top piece of parchment paper and clean up the dough’s edges with your fingers to create an even-looking pizza crust.
Bake in the oven on the parchment paper the dough was rolled out on (discarding the top piece) until it has begun to be golden in color, about 8 minutes.
Remove from the oven and top with your favorite toppings, such as sauce, shredded cheese, pepperoni and sliced olives (the possibilities are endless!).
Return to the oven and continue to bake until the toppings are heated and any cheese has melted, abut 5 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Store any leftovers in a glass container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Enjoy!
