Keto Slow-Cooked BBQ Pork Ribs

Serves 4

A batch of slow-cooked ribs will nourish you for dinner tonight, so get these started at lunchtime! We created our own savory BBQ sauce to coat our ribs, making each bite tender and free of any added sugars!

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 6 hours on LOW or 4 hours on HIGH


1 rack (about 3 pounds) of pork ribs, cut in half to fit a slow-cooker
6 tablespoons tomato paste
2 teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon chipotle powder
Optional: a few drops of liquid smoke


In a bowl, thoroughly mix tomato paste, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cumin, dried oregano, dried red pepper flakes and chipotle powder.

Spread tomato paste mixture over the two sections of ribs.

Place ribs in a slow cooker with 1 cup of water.

Cover the slow-cooker and cook on low heat for 6 hours or high heat for 4 hours.

When done, turn off your slow-cooker and carefully remove and serve alongside a big leafy green salad.

Serve between 4, storing any leftovers in a glass container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
