2 cups almond flour
2 tablespoons Keto-friendly sweetener such as monk fruit
2 teaspoons xanthan gum
½ cup butter, melted
¼ cup hot water
½ cup keto-friendly vanilla protein powder
2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
¼ cup full-fat sour cream
Zest from 1 fresh lemon
½ cup Keto confectioners’ sugar
2 tablespoons plain & unsweetened almond milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 packet of Real Ketones Lemon Twist Lean for Life or Weight Loss
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another.
Gently mix both bowls together until a thick dough has formed.
With your hands, roll handfuls of dough into a log and form into donuts. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
While donuts are baking, prepare your glaze by mixing all glaze ingredients very well in a shallow bowl big enough to place a donut in to glaze later.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before setting a donut in the bowl and coating the side down in the bowl with the lemon glaze.
Place on a cooling rack while the donut glaze hardens a bit and then serve.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
