Orange Chicken & Broccoli

Serves 4

2 tablespoon ghee or butter
½ pound of boneless & skinless chicken thighs, diced
2 teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons coconut aminos
1 teaspoon freshly minced ginger
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
Zest from ½ fresh orange
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seed oil
1 tablespoon arrowroot powder
4 cups broccoli florets
Optional Garnishes:
Sesame seeds
Fresh cilantro to garnish


Add ghee or butter to a large skillet and set to medium heat.

Add diced chicken thighs and season with sea salt, black pepper and garlic powder.

Sauté, stirring occasionally, until it is mostly cooked through, about 10 minutes.

While chicken is cooking, steam broccoli until tender and set aside.

Add coconut aminos, fresh ginger, orange juice, zest and toasted sesame seed oil and stir well.

When the chicken is cooked through, remove with a slotted spoon, reserving the liquids in the skillet.

Add arrowroot powder and stir very well until a thick glaze has formed. Turn off the stove heat.

Serve chicken alongside broccoli, pouring some of the glaze on top, garnishing with optional sesame seeds and cilantro.

Store any leftovers in a glass container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
