We love this recipe because it’s simple and has some big-time nutritional benefits from gut-healing sauerkraut and cleansing radish and spinach. These days it’s easy to source high-quality sauerkraut, look for one that is raw and without any preservatives.

Cooking Time: 10 minutes to steam spinach & grill sausage
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
2 tablespoons sauerkraut
1 pork Italian sausage link
¼ cup radish, sliced
2 cups of baby spinach, raw or steamed
If using uncooked sausage links, grill one sausage link until heated through, about 10 minutes. While it is cooking, steam spinach (raw spinach is also a great option).
Mash the avocado with the sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder and lemon or lime juice in a bowl until it is well combined and set aside.
Arrange the cooked sausage, sauerkraut, spinach, radish and avocado mash on a plate.
